Privacy & Safety
Earthafying is a free, photo-first place to share one honest moment from your corner of the world. We show no ads, we sell nothing, and we will never sell your information. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.
Who this applies to
You must be 13 years or older to create an account and use Earthafying. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
What we collect
- Account information — the email address and display name you sign up with.
- Your profile — anything you choose to add, such as a short bio, a country, and a profile photo.
- Content you post — the photos, captions, comments and reactions you share, and any optional location note you type in yourself.
- Basic usage data — simple, anonymous counts of visits so we can see whether the app is being used. We do not build advertising profiles.
We do not collect your precise GPS location, and Earthafying has no private messaging.
Your posts are public
Earthafying is an open, public space. Photos, captions and comments you share can be seen by other members and by visitors browsing the site. Please only share what you're comfortable showing the world, and don't post images of other people without their agreement.
How we use your information
- To create and run your account.
- To show your posts and profile to the community.
- To send you essential emails, such as confirming your account.
- To keep Earthafying safe (see moderation, below).
Keeping the community safe (photo & text moderation)
To protect people, photos and text are automatically checked by an AI moderation service before they go live. This means the content you submit is sent to that service purely to screen for harmful material. We also provide an in-app Report button so members can flag anything that concerns them, and we review reports and can remove content.
The services we rely on
Earthafying is run by a single person, with the help of a few trusted third-party services. We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Supabase — stores your account, your posts and your photos, and handles sign-in.
- OpenAI (moderation) — screens photos and text for harmful content.
- Brevo — sends essential account emails.
- Vercel — hosts the website and provides the basic, anonymous visit counts.
These providers process your data on our behalf. We never sell your personal information to anyone.
Cookies & local storage
We use only what's needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Keeping your data, and deleting it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You're in control: you can delete your own posts at any time, and you can ask us to delete your entire account and its content. To do that, email hello@earthafying.com from your account's email address and we'll take care of it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain uses. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below and we'll respond.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and our trusted providers use industry-standard security. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to keep Earthafying safe.

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Please check back from time to time.
